Welcome to Torwick's Guiding Service!
My name is Tyler Torwick, owner and captain here at Torwick's Guiding Service. My personal goal each time a new client steps foot in my boat is to ensure they have a fun and memorable time. I want to guarentee you a fun time and help educate you and teach you how to catch fish. Check out this video where I introduce myself and tell you a little bit about what sets me apart from the other fishing guides here in Austin, TX.

With a few tools and a mechanical inclination you can change the oil yourself at home and save a bunch of money!
Big Springtime Bed Fish Caught on Lake Travis
March and April are great months to find spawning bass. When bass are spawning, they will move up shallow and build beds where they can lay their eggs. When they do this they become very territorial and agressive. This is one of my favorite times of year to target big bass!
With Lake Travis being very clear, it is the perfect lake for this style of sight fishing.
How to "Fizz" a Striped Bass
Whenever you catch largemouth or striped bass deep, their swim bladders will expand, preventing them from righting themselves and swiming back down. With a "fizzing" needle you can release the gas in their swim bladder and help them decrompress and be able to swim away healthy.
