Still Great Bass Fishing on Lake Travis

The fishing on Lake Travis has been solid lately. Lots of hungry fish all over the lake, but in particular bluff walls. This time of year fish start to feed up in preparation for the coming winter months when the water temps will drop. This slows down their metabolism and they feed less. This also slows down their movement and they tend to not be as aggressive.

Today I had the pleasure of fishing with Jonathan, who was here in Austin on business all the way from Sweden!

The hot bait of the day was a drop shot. 10-20' of water was the sweet spot. Right now there are fish all over the lake, but if you know which bluff walls are holding fish you can really bump up your numbers! I am now working for LakeProGuides.com doing their honey hole reports. If you would like 5 pins to exact spots where I have been catching them check them out! For only $10 I will give you the exact spots with a video telling you how to fish it.

Better yet though, you want to learn way more than that fishing report?... Book a guided trip! Right now I can put you on a bunch of fish. Not only do I promise to teach you a ton but you will stay busy fighting fish all morning.

The photo above was from my trip Saturday afternoon.. Owen and his grandma were celebrating his birthday. He wanted to catch a mess of fish and get a photo with them, so that's what we did! We had a really fun trip with great numbers and several big fish. (Plus the "one that got away" haha had one about 5 spit the hook at the boat!)

If you are considering a fishing guide on Lake Travis give me a shout! I would love to show you a good time!

Tight Lines!
